David entered the ministry following a twenty-year career in the United States Marine Corps.  He is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, and of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned the Master of Divinity degree as well as a Master of Religious Education.  David’s ministerial experience includes interim pastorates in Okinawa, Japan and Louisville, Kentucky, a pastorate in Louisiana while attending seminary, and then two pastorates in Miami, Florida.  David has also served as Executive Director of the Miami Baptist Association, a multi-cultural and multi-lingual association of Baptist Churches in that major metropolitan community.  He moved to the Louisville area in 2012 and has been at Living Hope Baptist Church since June 2021.
